1. Introduction

Thank you for using EBM Calculator. Your privacy is important to me.

This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data Collection & Usage

No personal data collected. EBM Calculator does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. There is no account to create and no sign-in.

Local data storage. Saved results are stored on your device. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

iCloud Sync. When iCloud Sync is enabled, your saved results are synchronized across the devices signed in to your iCloud account using Apple's iCloud infrastructure. The data is stored in your personal iCloud, accessed by EBM Calculator on each of your devices so you can view and edit your saved results, and is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party. iCloud Sync is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Diagnostic Logs. EBM Calculator records a small number of diagnostic and debug entries at specific points as you use the app. These entries stay on your device. If you run into a problem, you can view the log from the Settings menu and email it to support for troubleshooting; otherwise it is not retained beyond the current session.

Optional PubMed lookup. The Citations feature lets you fetch citation information by entering a PubMed PMID. This is the only network request the app's core features make. It uses a secure connection to the NCBI eUtils API. No personal data is transmitted — only the user-entered PMID is included in the request.

3. Third-Party Services

EBM Calculator does not use third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data tracking. The only external services the app interacts with are Apple's iCloud (for the optional iCloud Sync feature) and the NCBI eUtils API (for the optional PubMed PMID lookup).

4. User Control & Deletion

Since no user data is collected or stored remotely, there is no need for account management or data deletion requests.

You can delete saved results manually within the app at any time. Deletions made on one device propagate to your other devices via iCloud Sync if it is enabled.

You can disable iCloud Sync for EBM Calculator at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud on your device.

5. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
